Principal Software Engineering Lead

About the team

We are a collaborative, driven, get-it-done engineering team. It’s time to meet quickly scaling demand, and we’re looking for an engaging lead who will bring technical expertise, a passion for mentoring, and a commitment to engineering excellence. You’ll work with a variety of modern web, cloud, big data, analytics, and integration technologies. As a hands-on coding team lead, you will evolve the existing code base, architecture, and functionality, and deliver quality code on time, every time. You will shape the future of our company and have a lasting impact on our customers, team, and industry.

Proven experience we’ll look for that will help you be most successful:

  • Designing and building scalable and highly available web-scale services
  • Leading software development teams as they release, scale, and operate services
  • Hands-on software engineering building Java based REST API’s
  • Recruiting, mentoring, and growing software engineers
  • Architecting large-scale systems on AWS including DynamoDB, Kinesis, Redshift, VPC
  • Leading agile development teams using Scrum and/or Kanban
  • Familiarity with Spark, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB, and related back-end technologies  
  • Full-stack web app development including modern front-end libraries and tools
  • Building and managing a cluster of microservices in a distributed environment
  • Track record of shipping reliable, extensible, and maintainable software under tight time constraints
