Senior Technical Program Manager

Full-Time Position

As a Sr. Technical Program Manager at Usermind, you’ll be the hub of communication between product and engineering. You’ll add value to the business by successfully driving the quality development of features and products on time. In this particular role, you will also own a relationship with an outsourced development team tasked with delivering core product components in a consistent and reliable manner. You will help us make products and services that delight customers and bring them — and Usermind — measurable business value.

What you’ll do:

  • Scope work. Collaborate with product managers and engineers to scope features into manageable chunks that enable us to quickly and efficiently release products.
  • Design and build. Work closely with the engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach.
  • Get stuff done. Drive and deliver execution against project plans and delivery commitments. Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile environment. Experiment with and integrate processes and tools that enable continuous improvement.
  • Know how good (or bad) things are. Use data, quantitative measurements, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide clear indications of progress and risk.
  • Communicate. Articulate progress and raise risks or issues to stakeholders and executive management.
  • Work with a remote team. We have a team offshore that contributes daily, and you’ll be the main point of contact at headquarters, including driving their scrum process and ensuring their delivery meets our quality standards and timelines.

Send us your resume if:

  • You like to solve problems that involve significant ambiguity and incomplete information. You are not afraid to make a call based on the data you have and your sharp analytical skills.
  • You have excellent communication skills at all levels of the business, including the C-suite, and with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and customers.
  • You have the ability to proactively identify dependencies and risks, and work with the product team and your engineering counterparts to mitigate these.
  • You have a track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow through on projects.
  • You know when to push back, challenge an idea, and seek out compromise, and do so positively and for the benefit of the company and our customers.
  • Your solid foundation in software engineering principles means you know what it takes to ship.
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 5+ years relevant work experience.

  • You have a solid understanding of systems architecture, design, and implementation.
  • You have expertise in agile software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including agile estimation and planning, story writing, and running sprints.
  • You have experience as a Scrum Product Owner and/or Scrum Master.

We’re building something really amazing to solve the biggest problem we could find, and we’d love to talk to you about how your experience could fit in. Usermind is an equal opportunity employer, and we're committed to building a diverse, creative, collaborative team.
